Welcome Parents!

Oct. 13-17 Transportation - color blue; square shape; number 3; letter Tt

You can help your child tremendously by reinforcing these skills and concepts at home.

PARENTS HELPFUL HINTS AND SOME SIMPLE REMINDERS

Parents can help their children succeed in school. Listed below are some guidelines that will help your child reach his or her fullest potential in school.

> Make sure your child is on time each day

> READ everyday with your child

> ABSENCES: It is vital that children are in school. Naturally, children will be sick and have doctor's appointments. For documentation purposes, please send a note stating the reason for your child's absence upon their return to school.

> READ ALL NOTES

> Sign and Return folders and report cards

> TRANSPORTATION: Please send a note or call the school if there is a change in your child's usual nmode of transportation. OTHERWISE, it is our policy to place your child on the usual assigned bus or mode of transportation.

> PRACTICE MAKES PERFECT: Brain research shows that newly introduced information needs to be repeated over, over, and over many times to not only be retained but also useful. Therefore, help your child practice what she or he learn at school. It also puts a special emphasis on school.

> COMMUNICATION: Please communicate with me. We both have your child's best interest at heart!

CLASS RULES

Please discuss the basic school rules with your child.  Disruptive behavior hinders learning time of all students.  I have found through the years that a little support and reassurance from home can make a big difference. Thank You!!

  • Keep hands and feet to oneself
  • Walk inside the school
  • Listen carefully and follow directions
  • Use indoor voices inside school
  • Share and take care of school materials
